Patrick Lavon Mahomes III, also known as Bronze, is learning some new words and he is the proof that sports will always run in the family’s blood. In Brittany Mahomes’ recent Instagram Stories, adorable Bronze was captured listing his favorite sports, but football wasn’t first.
Patrick Mahomes’ son babbled words like basketball, golf and tennis when prompted by his mom, but the first one on the list was actually baseball.

This choice is intriguing given the Mahomes family’s deep ties to the diamond, with Grandpa Mahomes enjoying an 11-year career as an MLB pitcher.
Patrick II flirted with baseball, even got drafted by the Detroit Tigers but ultimately his passion led him to football, where he excels with the Kansas City Chiefs as an multiple-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion.
Maybe Patrick will be able to live out his first love for baseball through his son Bronze and see another Mahomes playing professional baseball in the future.
