BREAKING NEWS: Journalist Questions Travis Kelce’s Motives Behind Lavish Gift-Giving to Taylor Swift, Suggesting a Display of Wealth Rather Than Genuine Sentiment”
On Friday, the Grammy Award-winning artist, 34, released her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, as she preps to return overseas to continue her Eras Tour, which has raked in over $1 billion in ticket sales so far.
As if the anticipation for the superstar’s impending album wasn’t enough, Swift revealed that a music video for her single Fortnight, featuring Post Malone, would be released online at 8 pm EST on Friday.
Then, at 2 am, the singer had another surprise for her diehard Swifties – 15 additional songs on top of the 16 already set in place for The Tortured Poets Department.
“I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you,” Swift wrote on a social media post, bringing the album’s The Anthology edition to life with a total of 31 tracks.
One person close to boyfriend Travis Kelce told The U.S. Sun the Kansas City Chiefs tight end knew how important Taylor Swift’s new album release meant to her and her meteoric career.
The football player, 34, went the extra mile to make his girlfriend’s special day that much more special.
‘LOVER OF GOOD THINGS’
The U.S. Sun has exclusively learned that Kelce splurged $27,000 on gifts for Swift to celebrate the singer’s 11th album.
“He loves to give her gifts, and she is a lover of good things, of good clothing and nice jewelry,” the source said.
“Travis knows exactly what she loves, and they love to give gifts to each other for very particular occasions, but also, just like that, to make each other smile!
This is a massive moment, and he wants to show his support and gift her some nice things for another great achievement in her amazing career.”
The array of gifts included an 18k rose gold bangle bracelet and hoop ears from jeweler De Beers, priced separately at $5,600 and $4,800.
Kelce, who is entering year three of his four-year, $57.25 million contract with the Chiefs, purchased a $9,100 black calfskin Chanel dress for Swift.
And, to top it off, Kelce arranged to have 11 flower bouquets delivered to Swift’s place throughout the day to mark the release of her 11th album.
The total – $7,500, which consisted of several bouquets of Swift’s favorites, including orchids, hydrangeas, and white roses.
“The idea to have 11 deliveries of flowers throughout the day is a very nice and thoughtful idea,” the source told The U.S. Sun.
