Brittany Mahomes Offers Full Support as She Transforms into a Chiefs Fan Alongside Hubby Patrick Mahomes
Brittany Mahomes revealed she hasn’t always been a diehard Chiefs fan.
In fact, the wife of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed one of the couple’s dogs is named after the team she supported before meeting her husband.
‘I actually got Steel when I was in college. Patrick bought him for me for a Valentine’s Day gift when I was a junior,’ she told People, admitting that the Pittsburgh Steelers inspired the pit bull’s name.
‘I actually used to be a Steelers fan and that’s how I got the name Steel, so that’s a great story,’ she added.
Elsewhere in the interview, Brittany described Steel and their cane corso Silver as ‘their children.’
‘I consider us having four kids,’ the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model added.
She and Patrick are parents to three-year-old daughter, Sterling Skye, and one-year-old son, Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon.
Before tying the knot in 2022, the pair met as teenagers at Whitehouse High School in East Texas.
She went on to attend the University of Texas at Tyler, where she graduated with a degree in kinesiology in 2017.
Patrick, for his part, studied marketing at Texas Tech University before entering the 2017 NFL Draft.
Brittany, who is a former professional soccer player, has been by Patrick’s side for his three Super Bowl wins, and is a strong advocate for women in sports.
Most recently, she came out in support of WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark after she was brutally fouled during a game over the weekend.
