Mike Florio reacts to Patrick Mahomes’ mother’s comment with a jaw breaking speech about his future in the NFL
It’s been seven years since Patrick Mahomes was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs.
In September, the quarterback turns 29. And he already has three Super Bowls under his belt.
As the age of 30 approaches, debates about the player’s longevity in the NFL are growing louder. In fact, comparisons with Tom Brady are more fervent than ever.
To surpass the GOAT, Mahomes needs at least four more titles.
His age and the number of years he has left in the league are not yet a concern. In fact, it’s not even something to think about.
Obviously, the signal-caller has already been asked when he intends to play American football. And the first thing Mahomes mentions when talking about it is family – how much he wants to be there and enjoy them.
According to him, prolonging his stay in KC as long as possible is the main objective, but you can’t control the future.
Mandi Mahomes, Pat’s mum, in an appearance on The Mom Game podcast, heaped praise on her son for his attitude when it comes to understanding that life off the field is more important.
“I hear him, you know, make comments like, ‘If the game takes away from my kids, I might not play as long as Tom Brady,’ and I’m like, I’m so proud of him for that.”
