Chiefs Reveal Elite New Nickname For Patrick Mahomes
What can be said about Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes that has yet to be said repeatedly?
After all, the consensus top player in the NFL has three Super Bowl trophies in the past five seasons, was the MVP of all three victories, took home the NFL’s MVP trophy twice, has been first-team All-Pro twice and been named to six Pro Bowls
Oh, and he’s the heir apparent to current GOAT Tom Brady.
But the quest to find another honor for Mahomes took another leap Friday when the team weighed in on how its franchise leader should be addressed.
Kansas City’s official social media declared that Mahomes is now to be called “MR. THREE-TIME.”
That Mahomes is already in the discussion at this point in his still-young career with Brady, Joe Montana, and others is a testament to the lofty level of achievement he has reached.
It is also a sign of the NFL’s over-the-top hype machine, which has served the league very well.
There is no North American professional sport close to the NFL in terms of elevating its stars into the lives of everyday fans.
And Mahomes is currently on the league’s Mt. Rushmore as its face and guiding light.
As for MR. THREE-TIME, the hope in Chiefs Nation is that the nickname will only hold up until February.
That’s when their dream of becoming the first NFL franchise to three-peat may be realized with yet another Super Bowl victory.
