Fans Gush Over ‘Iconic’ Throwback Pics of Travis and Jason Kelce When They Were Younger “Travis Kelce’s Sibling Day Shoutout to Jason Kelce Has Us Crying”
Travis and Jason Kelce celebrated National Siblings Day on April 10 with a nostalgic look back at their childhood in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, through a series of throwback photos.
The post, aptly captioned “Happy #NationalSiblingsDay to these two,” featured three memorable snapshots capturing the brothers at various stages of their lives together. It was posted on their New Heights podcast’s X account, and has already received thousands of likes.
Fans were quick to leave comments on the series of photos, posting things like, “Most iconic brothers in NFL history… Yeah, I said it. Take that, Mannings & Watts!” and “Voted top sibling duo to grab a beer with!”
Others couldn’t help but notice the similarities in the first throwback photo to Jason’s children, Wyatt and Ellie, whom he shares with wife Kylie Kelce. “Young Jason & Travis are basically Wy & Ellie now. It’s adorable” remarked one fan. “Baby Travis and Jason look like Jason’s kids! Omg!” said another.
The first photo captures a younger Jason, 36, and Travis, 34, wearing striped tank tops, standing amidst what appears to be farmland as young boys. Another photo shows the brothers decked out in Cincinnati Bearcats attire, the football team they both played for in college.
Jason, who played center for the Philadelphia Eagles, was part of the Bearcats roster from 2006 to 2010. Travis, current Chiefs tight end, played for the team from 2008 to 2012. Their paths crossed on the field for two seasons from 2008 to 2010, a period during which the team celebrated an undefeated regular season (12-0) in 2009 and clinched the Big East championship for the second consecutive year.
The final, and more recent image in the New Heights post captures a heartfelt embrace between Jason and Travis at Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023. All three of the photos show the brother’s journey from humble beginnings to achieving greatness on the football field.
Jason was recently identified as “whatshername’s brother-in-law”, referring to none other than pop icon Taylor Swift, after his appearance at the Dominik Mysterio versus Santos Escobar match during WWE WrestleMania on April 6. Jason isn’t actually Swift’s “brother-in-law,” despite the close relationship between the 34-year-old singer and Jason’s brother, Travis Kelce. As of right now, the couple has not taken steps toward marriage or engagement.
