‘Harry wants to start building a life here’: Archie and Lilibet set to visit London and meet with King Charles next month
A royal insider has revealed that Prince Harry is planning to bring Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to London next month to meet their grandfather King Charles and Windsor cousins for the first time in two years.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are reportedly planning to bring their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet when they make a planned trip to the United Kingdom next month.
Harry is scheduled to return to London in May to mark the tenth anniversary of his signature Invictus Games organisation at an anniversary service at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8.
The Duke of Sussex may also be attending the British Book Awards on May 13, where his memoir Spare is up for two top gongs.
According to an insider, the Sussexes will stay in a secret location to protect their privacy but are hoping to spend some time with their extended family before returning to California.
“Harry and Meghan are planning a fifth birthday party for Archie at their Montecito home on 6 May and were then going to fly over to the UK on a private jet the following day,” a source told New magazine.
“They were going to attend the Anniversary Service, followed by a few more days in the UK so the children could meet with members of Harry’s family.”
The insider also claimed the Duke of Sussex “would love” for his children to have a better relationship with their royal cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
“Harry would love for Archie and Lilibet to have a better relationship with their cousins or even the children of some of his friends,” the source said.
“He feels like they have been away from the UK for far too long and wants to start building a life here. Not full-time, but a second home they can visit regularly.”
Although Harry and Meghan are not working royals and live outside the monarchy, the Duke of Sussex remains fifth in the line of succession to the British throne.
Archie is right behind his father as sixth in line while Lilibet is seventh in line to the throne.
