Isabella Strahan is on her road to a full recovery. The 19-year-old daughter of “Good Morning America” co-anchor Michael Strahan shared that she is officially cancer-free in a new YouTube video posted Thursday. Earlier this year, Isabella Strahan publicly revealed she had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumor. “It was a great, great scan,” she said with a smile on her face. “Everything was clear. Cancer-free and everything is great.”

Isabella Strahan is officially cancer-free!
On Thursday, July 18, the 19-year-old daughter of Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan posted an update to her YouTube series, where she’s been sharing her health journey after having emergency surgery in October 2023 to remove a large medulloblastoma — a type of malignant tumor — in her cerebellum.
In her latest vlog, titled “Goodbye Hospital,” the student and model was back at the Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center in Durham, N.C., where she just had her chemotherapy port surgically removed.
Isabella then opened up about how much pain she was in the next day after the port — in her neck and stomach — was taken out.
“My side hurts a lot. It feels like I got stabbed. I was like, ‘Oh it doesn’t hurt that much.’ I think it’s because all of the stuff wore off… I can’t stand up straight,” she said, wincing in pain. “I also feel like the tube was going into my heart because my heart started cramping. I don’t know if that’s supposed to happen but… not enjoyable.”
“It definitely doesn’t feel great,” she added while showing her bandaged incision.
Isabella then received an MRI and arrived at her last doctor’s appointment to review her scans. She was all smiles after learning that she is now cancer-free, eight months after her brain tumor diagnosis.
“It was a great, great scan,” she said. “Everything was clear. Cancer-free and everything is great. I don’t have another doctor’s appointment until October.”
“I miss my doctors already and everyone who’s helped me because they’re all so nice,” she continued. “I feel like I’m just saddened today knowing that I wasn’t gonna be going back for awhile because I love them so much. So, that was my last hospital vlog until October!”
Last month, Isabella celebrated the end of her cancer treatment journey. Since her diagnosis, she’s gone through six weeks of radiation, four rounds of chemotherapy and three brain surgeries.
In a vlog posted on June 16, she rang the hospital bell surrounded by her family and friends. They cheered her on with balloons, bubbles, and homemade posters.
“Ring the bell three times well. It’s a toll to clearly say my treatment is done, this course is run and I’m on my way!” Isabella said with a big smile on her face.
“@isabellastrahan you are a SUPERWOMAN! Ringing that bell, finishing chemo and on your way! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾,” Strahan wrote on Instagram. “You continue to fight with a smile on your face, strength, and determination. I am one proud Dad! Love you, Bella ❤️❤️”
