Kansas City Chiefs: Mina Kimes Gets Blunt Taylor Swift Answer To Travis Kelce vs. Patrick Mahomes Debate
The romance between Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift is a gift that keeps on giving for people who want to talk a little bit about football and some showbiz.
During a recent episode of the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugot, a topic about who between Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Kelce is more famous these days got put on the table by LeBatard for ESPN’s Mina Kimes.
“Who is more famous now, Mina? Patrick Mahomes or Travis Kelce,? LeBatard asked Kimes.
“That’s such a good question. Is it Travis Kelce?” Kimes openly wondered.
That’s when Jeremy Tache of Bally Sports interjected and gave a convincing case as to why Kelce has become more popular than the three-time Super Bowl MVP. To no one’s surprise, he used Kelce’s relationship with Swift as proof.
“It has to be Kelce. I don’t think it’s close. All of Taylor Swift’s fans know who Kelce is and intimately, they know him so well to the point where, like you mentioned, this movie is not even about their story,” Tache said.
“It’s just the Chiefs now throwing their brand on top of this story. It’s about, I think, a fan engagement director falling in love with a fan, and there’s some sort of story around Christmas doing that. But Travis Kelce, I mean, Travis Kelce is so big. I saw someone tweet it yesterday that he’s going to be the next person doing those movies like Vin Diesel and The Rock did, but not the action ones, doing the movies like those children’s football movies or babysitting movies, because he has that type of charisma as this big, goofy dude.”
