NFL Fans All Made The Same Joke About Kadarius Toney Receiving Super Bowl Ring
The NFL Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs got their incredibly rings last night for their third Super Bowl victory in recent memory, and the rings are spectacular! However, one of the viral moments from the ring ceremony was the teams wide receiver Kadarius Toney celebrating with his ring as well.
Toney has been most famous for his drops and mishaps this past season, so many fans were quick to make some jokes about Toney getting his ring with the team while he did manage to do much in the post season, and was a problem to say the least during the regular season. No matter what though, Toney is a two time champion and that can never be taken away from him.
Many NFL fans were quick to joke about Toney getting his ring, while he did not really help throughout the playoffs at all. In fact, he was a drop machine over the season, and many fans wanted him cut ahead of the playoffs.
“Kadarius that guy on the team project who shows up late every day, doesn’t contribute but reps that A grade lol,” one fan commented.
“Just got an A on the group project, I feel phenomenal,” a second fan joked.
Another fan wrote, “Mahomes be out here changing people’s lives. For the rest of their lives they’ll be known as SB Champs and basically contributed nothing to the 2nd SB.”
While these comments are good fun, it is hard to argue with this as Toney was a scratch for literally the entire playoffs. He did not see the field once throughout the entirety of the post season. Toney was officially benched after the team played the Patriots on Dec. 17th. It seemed that the team had reached the absolute breaking point after Toney’s piling up mistakes.
While Toney is still under contract for this season with a base salary of $2.53 million, there is no certainty that he will remain on the team all year if any other receiver breaks out. He will have the opportunity to play as the team does not have too many elite receivers, but if he doesn’t get his play back up, this could be his last season with the dynasty.
