Travis Kelce Excitedly Reacts to Winning His First Bet at Kentucky Derby — See the Video

Travis Kelce is getting down at Churchill Downs.
The NFL star, 34, stepped out to the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday, May 4. He looked fittingly dapper for the iconic horse racing event in a white pinstriped double-breasted suit with a blue dress shirt and a dark colored tie. He accessorized with a feather-trimmed hat.
In a clip posted on the official Kentucky Derby Instagram account, Kelce could be seen clapping and jumping up and down as he took in the action on the race track. It seems he had a big reason to be so excited, as text over the video read, “When you show up to the Kentucky Derby and your first bet hits.”
The post was captioned: “@killatrav off to a hot start at the Kentucky Derby.”
Late-night host Jimmy Fallon also shared a video on Instagram of his meetup with Kelce at the event. The two can be seen chatting and doing a handshake hug as Fallon — also dressed in a light suit — held a dog in his arms.
Ahead of the equestrian event, Kelce hung out with The Chainsmokers in what appeared to be a backstage area at the musicians’ Kentucky Derby gig at the Ice House on Friday, May 3. The performance was part of the Sports Illustrated Revel at the Races concert.
In a photo posted on Alex Pall’s Instagram Stories, the athlete posed with a friend, who appeared to be retired NBA star Chandler Parsons. Kelce was also photographed inside the venue, mingling and laughing with other guests.
The Kentucky Derby, established in 1875 and run annually on the first Saturday in May, is now nearly 150 years old. The event always draws a large crowd, with nearly 150,000 attending last year’s races — more than the 2024 Super Bowl, which Kelce and the Chiefs won this year.
Kelce certainly knows how to party — and according to his friend and Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, it’s almost impossible to keep up with him nowadays.
During an interview on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Mahomes, 28, told Paul about how much harder it has been to keep up with the Kelce bros when they party now that he is a father of two.
Mahomes said, “No, I cannot [keep up with the Kelce brothers]. I used to, I think, and then I had kids. You hear my voice now and I left early every night [when they were in Las Vegas for his charity golf tournament and gala]. … You gotta pick and choose these days.”
